Terms of Service &
Privacy Policy
This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and Snapmeet Technologies Pvt Ltd. It governs your access to and use of the Snapmeet platform — including event publishing, registration, payments, and all data handling practices. Please read all clauses carefully before using the platform.
Acceptance of Terms & Explicit Consent
This Terms of Service agreement ("Agreement") is a legally binding contract between you and Snapmeet Technologies Pvt Ltd ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing the Snapmeet platform, creating an account, or registering for any event, you explicitly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by every clause contained herein.
By using Snapmeet, you explicitly consent to data collection, processing, and sharing as described in the Privacy Policy (Part II of this document). Snapmeet reserves the unilateral right to modify these Terms at any time. All updates become effective immediately upon posting on the platform. Continued use of Snapmeet after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Eligibility & Account Security
Age Requirement: Use of Snapmeet is restricted to individuals aged 18 years or older. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that (a) you are at least 18 years old and (b) you possess the legal authority to enter into this Agreement. Users between 13 and 18 years of age may only participate with explicit, verifiable parental consent. Snapmeet reserves the right to verify user identity and suspend accounts suspected of fraud or illegal activity.
Account Security: You are the sole custodian of your account credentials. All passwords are encrypted using industry-standard protocols; Snapmeet staff cannot retrieve or view them. Any activity performed under your account is legally attributable to you. Snapmeet is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access arising from your failure to secure your credentials. Accounts may be terminated for suspected fraudulent activity or conduct detrimental to the platform or its users.
Event Hosting & Financial Integrity
Snapmeet operates as a marketplace facilitator and does not store user funds directly. All transactions are processed exclusively via licensed and regulated payment gateways. When an Organizer hosts a paid event, the following financial structure applies:
A non-refundable service fee is deducted from every ticket sold. The exact fee depends on event location (Domestic vs. International) and is clearly displayed during event publication.
Upon transaction completion, funds are automatically divided into: (a) Snapmeet Service Fees, (b) Payment Gateway Charges (Razorpay / PayPal), and (c) Organizer Net Payout.
All organizer payouts are subject to a mandatory 48-hour hold after successful event completion and verification, to prevent fraudulent "ghost" events.
Organizers are the merchant of record. Bank-level chargebacks and associated processing penalties are the Organizer's full and exclusive legal liability.
For international events, currency conversion is performed using real-time exchange rates from third-party services. Snapmeet is not responsible for rate fluctuations or additional bank-side conversion fees.
Ticket Reservations & Inventory Integrity
To maintain inventory integrity during high-demand events, selected tickets are placed in a Hold state for exactly 15 minutes from the moment the user enters the checkout flow. If payment is not confirmed within this window, the hold expires automatically and tickets are returned to the public pool. Snapmeet is not liable for users who fail to complete transactions within this time limit.
Personalized Tickets: Tickets are tied to the specific attendee data provided at registration. Organizers reserve the right to verify identities at the venue. Inaccuracies in registration data may result in denial of entry without any entitlement to a refund.
Geolocation Services, Attendance & Venue Locking
Snapmeet utilizes proprietary geolocation technology for two primary purposes:
- Relevant Event Discovery: The platform may use your approximate location, derived from your IP address, to surface events currently happening near you and improve content relevance.
- Attendance Validation (Venue Locking): For specific "Venue Locked" events, you agree to allow the platform to access your device's GPS / Geolocation data. This is used strictly to verify that the attendance mark-in attempt occurs within the designated radius of the official event venue.
If you are outside the designated radius, your attendance will not be marked automatically. Snapmeet is not responsible for GPS inaccuracies caused by device hardware limitations, network conditions, or environmental interference.
Refund, Cancellation & Liability Disclaimer
Snapmeet does not set a platform-wide refund policy. Each Organizer is solely responsible for defining, communicating, and fulfilling their own refund and cancellation terms at the time of event publication. Snapmeet shall not be liable for any refunds, cancellations, or disputes arising from events. The Organizer bears full and exclusive financial responsibility. Attendees acknowledge that Snapmeet holds no portion of the organizer's revenue and cannot legally compel a refund on behalf of any attendee.
Prohibited Content & User Conduct Standards
Snapmeet maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harmful or prohibited content. Users shall not post, upload, transmit, or make available any material that:
- Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, or invasive of another's privacy.
- Is harassing or discriminatory on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, or religion.
- Encourages, facilitates, or promotes money laundering, gambling, or any unlawful activity.
- Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other third-party proprietary rights.
- Contains software viruses, malware, or any code designed to interrupt, damage, or limit computer or network functionality.
- Threatens the unity, integrity, defense, security, or sovereignty of India or disrupts friendly relations with foreign states.
Snapmeet reserves the right to remove violating content and terminate accounts immediately and without refund of any platform fees upon detection of such violations.

Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Snapmeet Technologies Pvt Ltd, along with its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, and agents, from and against any and all third-party claims, demands, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorney's fees) arising from or related to:
- Your use of and access to the Snapmeet Service;
- Your violation of any provision of these Terms;
- Your violation of any third-party right, including any copyright, trademark, property, or privacy right; or

This indemnification obligation will survive termination of these Terms and your cessation of use of the Service.
Limitation of Liability
"As-Is" Disclaimer: Snapmeet provides its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis, expressly disclaiming all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for the conduct of any user, Organizer, or third-party service — including Razorpay, PayPal, or any cloud hosting or infrastructure providers.
Aggregate Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Snapmeet's total aggregate liability for any and all claims shall not exceed the total fees you have directly paid to Snapmeet in the twelve (12) calendar months immediately preceding the date the claim arose. In no event shall Snapmeet be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and your use of Snapmeet are governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved informally through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If unresolved after 30 days of written notice, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration conducted in Patna, Bihar, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The language of arbitration shall be English. For non-arbitrable matters, the competent courts of Patna, Bihar shall have exclusive jurisdiction, and both parties hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Third-Party Links & Integrations
Snapmeet may contain links to external websites, platforms, or services (including but not limited to WhatsApp, Zoom, and external booking or streaming platforms). Snapmeet does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any such third-party services. Your interaction with any third-party links or services is entirely at your own risk. Snapmeet expressly disclaims all liability for any phishing attempts, malware infections, data loss, or damages resulting from your use of or reliance on third-party links accessed through the Snapmeet platform.
Grievance Redressal Mechanism
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we have appointed a Grievance Officer to address user concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
Miscellaneous Provisions
Assignment: Snapmeet may freely assign its rights and obligations under these Terms to any successor entity, affiliate, or acquirer without prior notice. You may not assign, transfer, or sub-license your account, rights, or obligations under these Terms to any third party.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect without modification.
Waiver: Snapmeet's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision in the future.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and Snapmeet with respect to your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
Commitment to Privacy
Your privacy is foundational to how Snapmeet operates. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 (India) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union for internationally based users. We are committed to transparency in our data practices and to empowering you with meaningful control over your personal information.
Data Collection & Location Usage
We collect essential personal information — including your name, email address, and phone number — to facilitate event registrations and core platform functionality. In addition, Snapmeet collects and processes location data as follows:
- Real-Time GPS Data: Used temporarily and exclusively for event check-ins to verify physical proximity under the "Venue Locking" feature. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently on our servers.
- Approximate IP-Based Location: Derived from your internet connection to calculate approximate distances from events and provide contextually relevant "Nearby Events" recommendations. Used solely for service personalization.
Collection of Organizer Financial Information
To facilitate the disbursement of event earnings to Organizers, we collect and securely store the following financial information exclusively from users who host paid events on the platform:
- Bank Account Details: Account holder name, bank name, account number, and IFSC code (for domestic transfers within India).
- UPI Information: Unique Payment Interface (UPI) IDs for instant digital fund transfers.
- PayPal IDs: Email addresses linked to PayPal accounts for international payout processing.
This information is collected solely for the purpose of transferring earned event revenues to Organizers. We implement industry-standard security measures — including encryption at rest, strict access controls, and administrative audit logging — to safeguard this sensitive data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
Data Sharing & Security
We share your personal data only with carefully selected third-party service providers — specifically Razorpay and PayPal — and only to the limited extent strictly necessary to process payments and fulfill platform transactions. We do not share your data with any other third parties except where required by applicable law or a valid court order.
Snapmeet does not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data to third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing entities. Your data is used exclusively to provide, maintain, and improve the Snapmeet platform experience. We implement SSL/TLS encryption for all data in transit and enforce strict administrative access controls for data at rest.
Data Retention & Breach Notification
Retention Policy: We retain your personal data only for as long as strictly necessary to fulfill the specific purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law (such as tax, accounting, or regulatory compliance obligations). Once the retention purpose is fulfilled, or upon your verified deletion request, we will securely delete or irreversibly anonymize your data in a timely manner.
Breach Notification Protocol: In the unlikely event of a confirmed personal data breach, Snapmeet will promptly notify the appropriate regulatory authorities — including CERT-In as required under Indian law — and will inform all materially affected users without undue delay. We aim to issue user notifications within 72 hours of breach verification, in compliance with obligations under the DPDP Act and the GDPR.
Your Data Rights
Under applicable global data protection laws, including the DPDP Act, 2023 and the GDPR, you are entitled to the following rights regarding your personal data held by Snapmeet:
- Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to Erasure: Request the complete and permanent deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent to data processing at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format where technically feasible.
Cookie & Tracking Policy
Snapmeet uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyze platform traffic and usage patterns, and remember your session preferences. By continuing to use Snapmeet, you consent to our use of cookies as described herein. You may control, restrict, or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings; however, please note that disabling certain cookies may impair the functionality or availability of some platform features.

Snapmeet reserves the right to update or revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in applicable legal requirements, regulatory guidance, or platform functionality. For material changes that significantly affect your rights or our data practices, we will provide advance notice via email to your registered address or through a prominent notification displayed on the platform. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to remain informed about how we protect your information.
